Paying my last respects

Yesterday was the last day members of the public can pay their last respects to the late Mr Wee Kim Wee, ex-President of Spore.

I went with Joe, and queued under the hot afternoon sun all the way from Plaza Singapura. The queue was expected to be abt 1hr's wait... and true enough, after the baggage checks and so forth, we reached the main building of Istana abt 1hr later. We stood in a row with some strangers and bowed. Then we stepped up to the coffin and had a last look at the body. He looked the same, so familiar... I said in my heart, "Thank you, Mr Wee. For everything you've done for Singapore." and bowed again. Then we left.

Today is another sianz day. Two of my colleagues on mc. Haiz... super busy, alot of calls.. managed to survived the day. Then a colleague on hospitalisation came back and handed in her resignation letter. V sad... everybody is leaving..
