Well, nothing much about e new year since there wasn't a celebration - I would say it's more of a christmas significance for me, since christmas is e most important and favourite occasion of the year in my heart...
23 Dec - accompanied JR SHG vols and students to watch Alvin 3. though it was alittle chaotic initially, rush rush thingy, and looking messy, we survived it and managed to let the students enjoy some flavour of christmas lightings in orchard, christmas carols along the streets and of coz squeezing through the christmas crowd!
24 Dec - educational and interesting outing with vols to Chek Jawa, with e help of Hui Hui and Chin as my vol leaders to lead e group from Ubin's jetty to Chek Jawa, hiking for about 1hour. we were guided by an NParks vol who has so vast knowledge and passion for Chek Jawa that impressed us alot.
Dinner with parents and phy and jiahong at Henderson Crescent's teochew porridge then home.
25 Dec - dinner with jiahong at Carnivore. pretty good food, and good service. watched sherlock holmes after that.
26 Dec - lunch with JR vols at peperoni pizzeria. nice ambience (we were given a private room for the 17 of us) and alright service (if they managed to spot us waving at them...). followed by saboteur. mahjong. kinecting at tracy's house (while she makes her way to e airport for her flight to bali)
30 Dec - co dinner at Loft. very sweet and cosy place but we didnt have tables and had to carry the plates of food and appetisers and plastic containers of soup, while we helped ourselves to the buffet spread. no games and thus many were surprised. there was just lucky draw and it was nice that everybody received something (at least a souvenir)
31 Dec - terrible search for crabs, went from Tanjong Katong's shop n save to SingPost's ntuc. then took circle line to bishan to search at ntuc finest in J8. Yes I found it, thanks to e nice uncle who bought flower crabs coz he helped to pick up (with his bare hands) and throw two crabs into e plastic for me! such a challenging task for me! prepared food and feast started ard 7+. too much food and dennis had to tabao back the vietnam popiah that ah heng did. there was also gift exchange and I received a waist cushion :)
Looking forward to another round of gift exchange on Monday!
